business hours

work is lovely and tiring and boring and stimulating...I work at a "paint-your-own-pottery" studio. People come in, pick out a pre-made piece of bisque (the selection is overwhelming, all of which I get to dust and rearrange) and paint it, with my assistance. They leave it and I glaze and fire it. Good fun when people actually COME IN. Today there was one mother and child...in 7 hours. Oh the boredom. BUT after completing my normal tasks (make coffee, answer calls, load kiln) if there is no one to be helped, I can paint. Oh the fun. So you see my dilemma. After work I am both completely spacey from being alone with my paint for so long and completely contented at having been alone with my paint for so long....I think the lead-based paint is getting to my cognitive skills.

And don't even get me started on promise rings...
